When will all of this be fixed? The Chattablogs site is slow and is getting timed out. What if something happens and, oh God, I cannot blog about it at Hamdems.? Oh please fix whatever it is that is slowing things down around here.

Just FYI: the Chattablogs aggregator displays the two posts I tried to publish today in the list, but they are not on the site. I am probably telling you something you already know, but just in case..

To reduce auto-spamming in submissions, could you guys build a font-to-GIF-type routinue that generates a collection of graphics of 6 to 8 letter passwords that a human has to read and enter when submitting comments? You wouldn't have to have the server generate them on the fly, instead, just rebuild the collection of graphics periodically (like daily). Just an idea.

Yes, I'm having trouble uploading images. Since my blog is a photoblog, that means I can't post. :(

The baltiblogs front page hasn't refreshed since Oct 20.

i can't even see the berkeleyblogs anymore, everytime i try to go to the berkeleyblogs homepage, it says something that i cannot view movable type and that i have to download it!!

The comments are not getting emailed to me any longer. Just to add to the list.

The page just says that I have no permission to post and that I have to install MovableType first. I've figured out a work around by using the quick-post feature, but I can't really manage the blog that way.

Come to think of it, thanks, Josiah and gang, for starting this thing and tending to it when problems arise. When it does go down, I take it as a sign that I should spend more time outside the blogosphere and act upon that assumption accordingly.

What's up with covblogs? I get a "you are not authorized to view" page.

Try covblogs again. We had a little server snafu this morning which resulted in some data loss on covblogs. Things are back as close to normal now as they are going to get. Some covbloggers may have lost data, mostly uploaded images, but entries should be back. If you are covblogger and you don't see your entries, try rebuilding your blog. If that doesn't work, let us know.

so i rebuilt the site and the entries are back, but no images. does this mean the images are gone forever and i have to upload them again or will they eventually come back?

It appears that you are going to have to re-upload any images that you had on your blog. It does not look like we are going to be able to recover the image files from our backup. We are looking into better ways of backing up this type of data and we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

chattablogs has been a real bummer lately (extremely long wait times on posting being at the core of most of it).

please make the bad feelings go away when you have the time.

hey--I've got some major ish with my fledgling blog. When one clicks on the title of my latest entry from the chattablogs list, it's all scribble-scrabble. I mean letters & shit, but I'm a pencil-and-paper girl; I don't know what you call it.

Anyhoo, it is also all jacked up under all the recent entries on the actual lushpuppy site. Can y'all help me?

It appears that your Individual Archives Template was replaced with your Stylesheet template. This was causing the "funky" output for the individual archives. I have replaced the Individual Archive Template with the default template and rebuilt your blog. If you refresh your browser on your individual entry you should see something a little more to your liking.

How do I personalize links on my page? I was trying to do it but it said that I need to rebuild to finalize the changes. I was confused about what I was supposed to rebuild, and after I did, nothing happened.

Brae, sorry for the long-delayed response. You'll need to edit the LINKS module on your templates page to include the links that you'd like to feature on your blog. Then, rebuild the entire blog.
